From Deal and Beyond
Stories of Migration and Exploration
Natasha Greenham and Lord Gawain Douglas with Singing for Pleasure
Lord Gawain Douglas, Natasha Douglas and Singing for Pleasure, will weave a story through poetry, narration and song about the lives of people from Deal who migrated to foreign lands and also of people coming to Deal and making it their home.
This performance will tell of bold adventure and exploration, but also of the tragedy and despair of forced migration, and the exile’s extraordinary sense of loss and longing for his or her country; above all the indomitable human spirit in extremity and in the face of great odds.
Admission Free – retiring collection in aid of DMA education work.
